About Us

• Pack 415 has been in the Monta Vista area of Cupertino for more than 50 years

• We are our own non-profit Chartering Organization:  The Parents of Pack 415

• Pack Makeup: A diverse group of 100+ boys and girls, age 6-11 attending Lincoln Elementary, Collins Elementary, Stevens Creek Elementary, Dilworth Elementary, Faria Elementary, Murdock Portal Elementary and others living in the Cupertino neighborhood and attending neighboring schools

• We welcome and encourage girls to join the pack

• We function under the umbrella of the Scouts BSA

What Does the Pack Do & How much does it Cost?

• Runs a year-long program that includes:

  • outdoor  events

  • physical activities that promote character development

  • leadership development and confidence building

• We instill:

  • scouting values

  • social skills

  • life skills

• We provide a great way for scouts and their families to spend quality time together

• Cost

  • "A Scout is Thrifty" is one of the "Scout Laws". The average cost of Cub Scouting per year is around $1 per day

    • Including annual dues, camping, etc.,

    • Boys Life Magazine is included in the membership

Meetings

• Pack meetings are held on the first Monday of the month, at 6pm, usually at Cupertino Community Hall, which is next to the Cupertino Library (or) Lincoln Elementary School (outdoors)

• Most dens meet twice monthly (each den decides which day works for all families).

• Additionally the pack runs one or two outings each month.

What happens once my child joins?

• The Scouting year follows the school year, and therefore begins in August and ends in June

• He or she should attend den meetings regularly to complete all the requirements for his/her rank during the meetings.

• Join the monthly pack meeting for games, songs, skits, awards

• Parents can volunteer for 2 pack events annually & help den leader run den meetings

• Parents can attend free BSA trainings to learn or improve their outdoor skills, archery & BB gun safety, CPR
